Why is Monday NFL on ESPN?

Yep, Monday night ratings on ABC slipped to far but the diehard fans didn't want to see it go so they moved it to ESPN and gave sunday night FB to ABC.

It is partly $$... what really happened is that the ratings fell after Dandy Don, Howard Cosell etc left.. then we started the Thurs night games, the Sunday night games, and the Sat games after the college season was over.. so the "specialness" of the Monday Night game fell. Add on to that, ESPN was in the large majority of households via cable and ESPN wanted to make a niche for itself, then you have the current outcome..

I used to hate Collingsworth but am now able to tolerate him. Probably because he's not half as bad as Dennis Miller was and sure as hell not as bad as freaking Kornheiser. Kornheiser is a dumbarse who has diarreha of the mouth. Another thing about Kornheiser Dude your freaking bald! Shave your head already! You arent fooling anyone! That guy ruins Monday Night Football for me. And its stupid when they get celebrities to come into the booth to talk football. Who gives a F what they think. Can you just concentrate on the game? :hammer:

Yeah, MNF isn't the same as back in the day, but neither is most games I watch, I don't think its bad play, just a lot of game on a lot of stations, back in the day we had 3 channels w/ 1-2 games on Sunday & MNF. Don't get me wrong I like having all the channels & games its just the market is flooded & every nit wit has a talk show with a F-up'd opinion....I know I could do just as good as most those guys, (as long as I have been watching & following sports) especially the ones that did'nt play, I watch Kornheiser everyday on PTI,him & Wilbon is bone-headed but I like the show, but I like Around The Horn better.
Adam, he was talking about going completely bald a while back when someone asked him why he didn't go all bald, but he said his head is lumpy & couldn't pull off the bald look, not sure if he was serious or joking.

I agree Kornheiser is horrible...again tonight, I really don't like him on PTI either, the substitutes are better.

Time for him to go he doesn't have anything intelligent to add to MNF or PTI.
