This is not L material, but you have to check this out if you are into speed. I know some of you are entirely Blue-Oval blooded, but this is a testament to the greatness of the LS1 family of motors...9'2 on motor, time and time and time again, is truely awesome, and I don't care who makes the motor...

Amen brother! At least I have one reliable vehicle in the garage. I aksed Tom Scarpello about that when we talked about my blown L motor. We were talking about leaving room for aftermarket performance in the design of the motor. How you can't push another 75 HP through a L without worrying about rods. And how the LS1 holds 500RWHP of NOS, I added almost 150 rw to mine and will never worry about blowing it up. Even shifting @ 6800rpm. One of my Z06 customers has 300 passes on a 125shot no engine problems. His answer was we design it to hold up to stock demands the way it rolls out no more:hammer: How long have people been buying vehicles and making them faster:confused: Give us rods, we'll be happy:banana: The steel crank and pistons are good.

He was interested in hearing the story behind the most blown L motor ever:D He took off his "Ford hat and put on his hot rodder cap" as he put it. Then we talked for a while about ideas for the 04. I pointed out some field application conflicts they were unaware of. He was receptive to say the least:twitch:

Foci is fine for what it is, a daily driver. Would I put mods on it? Ummm no. Is it fun to drive? Hell yes. Is it fast? No. Is it quick? Yes, but with 15.5-8 second quarters, half the sedans on the road can kick my ass, but throw it into a turn and hoooya...

But then again, at $14k, I could care less if it gets it's ass kicked. Me, I'm waiting for a 04 L announcement and the order banks to open. I'll be first in line. By that time, the Foci will be paid for...
