So they lose their last game at Texas Stadium and now they need help getting in the playoffs.

They got some help early this afternoon with the Chargers beating the Bucs.
I think really if Dallas beats Philly, they'll be in. But will they have a shot at doing anything from that point on? This team is the most inconsistent and have done the least with the most talent that I can remember.

with the Tampa Bay and Philly loss they just might squeeze into the playoffs, 1 playoff win will be some hope for this cowboy team
hopefully Romo actually shows up for that game

That's a perfect way of looking at it. :tu:
And kinda disappointing that we are struggling like this too.

maybe not..if they win one, that may be what it takes to give this team the confidence it needs

Is there a system where they get paid to win? Where is the carrot? It seems like win or lose they go home with their millions anyway.... They should get whipped for losing.

I am hopeful as well, just not confident at this point. The talent is there, it's just not showing up every week unfortunately. If we do make the playoffs this year and win the first round, then it's a step in the right direction. If we lose in the second round though, then that win didn't mean jack diddly. I hope they can pull it together though, or alot of changes should be forthcoming.

Definitely. The best part was at the end of the game when they were showing Jerry up there in his suite chewing the shit out of his fingernails....:rll:

They should have had all of the old heroes walk down the bench line slapping each of the current players up side the head:tu:

Well NY just beat Pathers in OT. So now they are the top seed and got the first round bye with home field. If Romo keeps having these craping games he might be looking for a new home.

If, and this is a huge "if", the Cowboys play to their potential, they can win the NFC. They wiped out the Giants last week. Just b/c the Giants can run the ball on the Panthers, doesn't mean they'll run it on the Cowboys, even with Jacobs back.
If they squeak into the playoffs, they're as good as any team they will play until they get to the Super Bowl. I think the AFC is better, and I don't think they'd beat the Steelers or Ravens (duh, they didn't), Titans, or Pats. But the NFC is very mediocre and they have as much talent as any of the NFC teams... doesn't mean they'll win, of course. Too many penalties, and the team is really undisciplined. Fire Phillips.

Yep, that's one change that needs to come soon. I can't name one thing he has changed for the better since coming here.

He is calling the defense now.......
and their performance has really jumped up in the past few games, except for the last 4 min of the last game.

The Cowboys shat the bed the last two Ravens drives for sure, 77, 82 yard runs just pitiful, but the defense has played well since Howdy Doody started calling the defense plays. Had Howdy called the defense all year I do not believe we would be in this current win or go home senario.
Here are a few observations from a life long Cowboy fan and current
season ticket holder.
#1.Special teams are awful and hurt us almost every game.
#2.Jason Garret is over matched with his simple offense, the other teams say it is easy to know what we are going to do.
#3. Howdy Doodies laid back approach just does not cut it in todays NFL.
#4.Romo appears not to be very smart on the field and makes bad decisions under fire.
#5.Donavan Mcnabbs teeth look like Mr. Ed the talking horses "GO Cowboys":evil

If Jerry fires Phillips, He will replace him with Jason Garrett. Which might have been the plan all along. If that's the case we can expect more of the same as we are seeing now. I can't believe that Garrett will change his play calling just cause he is the Head MF'r in charge. Also, they have to go to philly and win to get in. I'm not sure Romo's head is in the game.

The D has been much better since Phillips has been in charge... which is why he is suited to be a D-coordinator. He is a horrible head coach.
