Just kidding. Nice looking truck. Some simple green and water and a little elbow grease and you should be good to go. Please don't go ape shit with a water hose or pressure washer on the engine though, your truck will hate you.

Gotta love the DSG. Only other color I would have bought besides silver. :rolleyes:

LOL yeah well it will get cleaned up and you will see the before and after haha. i am one to clean the engine bay and keep it that way.

autobahn motocars in fort worth.

it was on their Outlet program where each alsesman, or woman, puts the vehicles used for trade in, instead pf sending it right off to a private auction, since they do not sell used cars and only sell bmw, mercedes, etc, they give the car like a a week or so on ebay to see if it sells to any regular person for what it would get at autction and well nobody bid on it and i waited til the final seconds and got it for 12900 the minimum bid!! this truck was used as trade in on a newer m5 lolol!

Alex, really nice looking truck.. not sure what kind of intake that is though...you might look into something that is set up for our trucks. That one piece of "rubber" just doesnt look right.. Otherwise, everything looks really good. Hey, the engine compartment gets dirty if you drive it, so clean and get it dirty all over again..

svtp guys say it is a C&L upper intake plenum which i looked at on a performance site and i would agree. so im guessing thats the arm choice they went with. i also agree that it looks kind of funky!

i really dont like a dirty engine bay. i keep my s10s pretty clean and its completely stock..

Let me spend as much money on my truck though as he did just buying his car and it would be the other way around. The new ones aren't cheap by any means.

one owner truck, clean title. cant beat it.

The older ones are weak. The new V10 M5 is no joke. Try one on for size once you get the truck. It'll leave you sitting at the computer shopping for more go fast mods. :d

theres a chrome version and a black chrome version. i think it would look good on white! check around SVTP lightning pics and see im sure a white one has this setup.

Theres a ton of guys on Lightning Rodder and SVTP that have painted their tails, my screw tab finally broke on mine, so I'm going to have to get some new painted tails, why SVT went with the ricer tails I'll never know, they all need to be color matched with the body

That's good to know. I had a lot of people wanting me to do them from LR and other forums, but I didn't have the time. I did post a couple of how-to's out there and the paint source (you have to use base/clearcoat or it won't look or last), so I guess it has made its rounds. That's cool.

I agree with you 100%. The mirror'd look completely stinks when compared to a monochromatic/painted-to-match setup.

The only one I think the stock chrome taillights look good on is Silver. Only because I have the stock chromies to go with them. My opinion may be just a little biased though. :rolleyes:

I agree... your truck looks good with them, but it does for the same reason the others look good with color-matching lenses. It fits the color of the truck, especially with your chrome wheels. :tu:

Yep. If I was to get a DSG, the first thing I would do is change the tails to look like the ones you have. They go perfect together with that color. Definitely one of the things ford fell short on in the thought process.

It's funny b/c I hated the stock ones so much, that the first thing I did (before realizing I could take them apart and paint them) was go buy a pair of '99-00 red ones and install them. Ran around for about a year with them on the truck.

Yeah the red ones too. Those are another option before guys started painting I guess. I like the red ones on the Red and White L's both still. They seem to fit perfect to me.

The intake is a C&L
The boot looks like a rolled up inertube!
The TB looks like my Acufab.

The K&N tube will work on that set up, and clean it up a bit.
