Hey guys, is there someone or someplace I can take my custom sheet metal intake plenum to be polished? It's somewhat scratched up so it doesn't look too hot.

^^^...I agree with you on that, dont get me wrong, they do great work about they are hard to get a hold of, and take too much time doing it, it was suposed to take 1 week for the plenum, it like 3 1/2 weeks to get it done, and NO DISCOUNT

Do you treat the polished surfaces with a product like Zoop when you are done with them? or what do you seal them with to keep maintenance to a minimum?

Dana,

I do not coat any of the parts and just leave that up to the customer if that is what they wish to do, but as long as the customer keeps the parts clean and dry after my metal polishing process the parts will be very shiny for years to come. Just takes a quick wipedown is all every once in a while.

That said some of my customers have used Zoopseal and I have heard very good feedback about it.

Thanks for the kind words...very much appreciate. We put a lot of man hours, materials, etc into every single polished item before it leaves here. Like I said before Quality is #1.

As far as under-hood temps...the polishing work will be shiny for years to come and I can say that because after my metal polishing process I have had customers that still have very shiny parts. Just have to wipe them down every once in a while keeping them clean and dry...the parts will be very shiny for years to come!

Nothing at all is plated...everything is completey sanded down and then taken all the way through my unique Metal Polishing process which gets everything to a Mirror Finish. We put a lot of extra time into every single piece to make sure everything comes out perfect and that is why we can GUARANTEE everything to a Mirror Finish. :)

I signed in because the thread starter was talking about my business, so I thought I would introduce myself on this thread.

As far as the Lightning goes...No, one of my friends has a Lightning here in Kansas City...you may know him. His name is JW...pretty damn quick as it has had nitrous on it as far back as I can remember!! We used to tear up the streets together all the time and he is still going at it to this day with that truck!
I personally have a 1995 Toyota Supra which is a lot of fun as well. :) The car put down 1,020rwhp and has gone 6.1@121 in the 1/8 and 9.5@114 in the 1/4 (on the brakes at a track with a bad shutdown) We all share the same passion which is modifying vehicles to do what they are supposed to do. :)

Dynosheet...not quite all the way turned up and spun on the dyno with VHT and two people in the hatch. If anyone wants to calculate the torque numbers for the dynograph below (since they were only showing HP on the dynograph when this was done) here is the RPM vs MPH for my car in 4th gear:
60mph = 3100rpm
70mph = 3700rpm
80mph = 4200rpm
90mph = 4700rpm
100mph = 5500rpm
110mph = 6100rpm
120mph = 6600rpm
130mph = 7200rpm
These numbers are all from the dyno here in Kansas City since they monitored my engine RPM and MPH I was able to put the two together. The way you figure torque just in case anyone is wondering: (5252/RPM) x HP (The HP here is from the same point in the graph you plugged the RPM value in)
For example:
*At 110MPH (6,100RPM) the car made 1,000hp to the wheels, so: 5252/6100 = .8609 and then .8609 x 1,000HP = 860.9 ft/lbs of torque at that particular RPM. That is SAE...Uncorrected it made more torque which is what the car actually put down that day on the dyno in that particular air environment.

I added up your order and it came up to $675.00, but I also stated in my quote to you that "you will qualify for discounts" because of the amount of polishing you would be doing with us. We can save time by doing more work all at once and we pass that savings to the customer.

The problem with my quote to you although I did tell you that you will qualify for a discount, I never put the discount on the quote! I went back and looked and it wasn't there and I sincerely appologize for that and glad you said something about it.

You qualify for the multi-part discount level of 10% off your entire metal polishing order since you are wanting all that metal polishing done at one time.

Our metal polishing is not the "standard" polishing service. We put the extra man hours, materials, etc into EVERY SINGLE part and that along with our unique Metal Polishing process allows us to Guarantee every part to a Mirror Finish when we are done. :) I would estimate that we would have around 38-44 man hours plus materials into all of your items you are needing polished.
