Anyone have any advice on good tuners? I Took my L to a shop to have some Det. work fixed and this guy can't even tune the D*** thing. It's in dire need of a tune
Thanks

Thanks You need to talk to Terry (L8Apex) he should be able to fix you up. (Edit: I just realized you live down south of Huntsville. You would probably be better off finding a tuner in Houston. If you want Terry to work on your truck you will need to drive to Dallas.)

If this is Sonicblue03's old '03 L, the location is most likely Ada, OK - sounds like it.
There's also Ada, TX too.

i have no clue actually... it hasn't been dyno tuned which is why i was asking about tuners... With a 6# lower pulley & a 75 shot it has to have some kind of tune on it now. Did the truck come with a handheld SCT or Predator tuner? Or does it have a chip in it?

yeah it has an SCT tuner but it needs to be tuned for different sutff.. preferably on the dyno...

I tuned that truck back in 2007. From the tune it looks like it had a SCT 2400 MAF. Does the MAF element say Granatelli on it?
If you have been having other people mail tune it without telling them the correct MAF and extras it is all on you. A MAF is a everything when it comes to tuning a truck.
Once you figure out what you have I'll send you a tune for it.

sounds like you need to make a pass in the red light and liquor store and don't even say you have to go to work ! now that we're back to me lol.. the base of the tune has not been changed... the only modification we did was when we had the warm tune in pulled some timing and stuff out to help the det. and hopefully have some plugs left which didnt happen but the guy doin' all this put the cold tune in because it ran richer... now i don't know if it runs any better than it does yet.. i'll find that out tomorrow.. which comes back to the question are these tr7's going to affect the tune ... timing wise... and NO.. tr7's WERENT my idea sounded logical at the time.

You said it was email tuned and it was all stock except for pumps, pullley... What about the MAF? stock vs SCT 2400 is 40% difference in fuel and load calcs.
