Mini Bike Question

I been building a couple of mini bikes.One i have a Harbor Freight 96549 6.5 engine on it :evil.I want to get power for lights,been trying to get of hold of tech. rep but unsuccesfull.Ill keep trying,any inputs would help:tu:

Im using a Tecumsuh 6.5 on this one:cool:.Me and my kid got a drag race coming up.Hers is the upgrated 6.5 Doodle Bug.Mine is an old school Bird in the workings now.

You could do a stand alone 12v setup and charge it for each use. I don't think there is any good way to add a stator/generator coil to a mower engine.

I thought about that but wanted to run something engine driven,Dont even care if lights go dim to bright with rpm's.

Beau, I know that karting is popular and I clean forgot that they use to Briggs and Stratton engines in the NHRA jr cars.. there are some pretty nasty engines out there.. but I am just kind of surprised that the minibike still looks like it did decades ago.. I would have thought the little motorcycles would have driven them out of existence.. but I am guessing the minibike is a lot cheaper..
