wow, that is a very sweet shot of your truck. I wonder what he would charge for a custom shoot. I'd pay to have some cool shots of my cars like that.

not sure. he is completely a newer photographer and just bought an amazing camera setup.
he is an all around cool guy. he also owns the fastest cam-only 2v mustang in the nation. pretty cool stuff.

Nice pics. Nikon's are great cameras. Myself and a couple others here I believe have them. I just bought the new D-90 a few months ago and have been having alot of fun learning all the ins and outs of SLR photography. It's fun and can be quite time consuming at times as well. :icon_mrgreen:

His is the D60. I was thinking a little photoshop on the pic as well. It looks like he changed up the Hue and/or Saturation a tad bit to give it that perfect touch with the clouds and the background. It turned out great.

Every one gets slack about it. Trust me when I first got mine, Every time I seen Terry to have my truck worked on, he would give me shit about my truck looking like it was about to fly away. I even had 2" drop shackles on the back at the time too...:rll: I decided to do the full Hotchkis kit on mine. I didn't realilze how high it really sat til I compared pics from before and after. :icon_eek:
Just don't post it on LightningRodder like that, it's a tougher crowd over there. I am sure a few others here can vouch for that as well.

I have the 2in drop shackles on mine and everything else is stock. As soon as I find a cheap way to lower it without sacrificing ride quality I will.

On the cheap, most people remove 2 leafs or dearch factory leafs, and cut the fronts coils. I have seen many on other sites doing it that way lately to save money, and have said it didn't compromise much ride quality. I like the slightly rough and stiffer ride the TVS gave the truck personally. Makes it more fun to drive imo. http://www.lightningrodder.com/forum/images/smilies/3gears.gif

welll ill be ordering the Ford Racing 2'' drop all around and going from there. its the best cheap kit out there and ive heard it really helps the handling of the vehicle. that should put the front where i want it but then after that i will probably take one leaf out to level it and should be good for the rear.
but yes the drop kit is ordered and on the way. ill have more pics from the same guy when its completed.

I bought one o fthe last Roush suspension kits for my 2004 but ended up getting the rear springs de-arched instead
the Roush was too bouncy and would bottom on the bumpy roads in carrollton

That Roush kit looked so nice on these trucks though. I wish Texas roads were good enough for us to drive them like that. :tex

the look was the same after the dearch BUT I kept the carry capacity and the ride quality of the stock springs - the roush got too soft as the lightnings got older
I think I had mine done at Champion spring - there is a post here about it somewhere

On my L, I went with the Hotchkiss coils / sways, JLP shackles on the 4" notch and kept all the leafs intact. Very stiff and rough-riding, even with keeping the Bilstein shocks, for now.
Here's a pic for reference:

A firm stiff ride in these trucks is actually fun because of all the torque these trucks have. I enjoy the hell out of the ride in mine. My gf does hate it though. She says her boobs hurt after riding in it....... :evil

Looks almost as good as mine:icon_mrgreen:Need some exhaust tips.I recom. 24" long X3 1/2 or 4" dia. chrome plated stainless, and dont listen to the B.S. that the plating will flake off.As far as lowering why mess with perfection unless you got money to burn:icon_mrgreen: Nice pick!!!!:tu::bows

Simple matter of physics: lowering the center-of-gravity, firming-up the suspension, etc. and making the L more predictable overall.
