Brakes question!

I want to purchase some new rotors and break pads for the L and want everyone's opinions on which ones to buy!!! Please help!!

do some hawk pads and do some slotted rotors. d/s rotors are, i would say, over-rated for daily driving since they eat pads like no other, so i would say do some slotteds and some nice pads..

EBC's are a decent upgrade

the brand of rotors dont matter so much, just make sure they are slotted or drilled for gas release.. however, having tried a lot of different brake pads, get the EBC pads. Hands down they are the very best at a reasonable price.. they are a bit more harsh on the rotors but they will throw you thru the windshield..

Seen too many complaints about cracks on drilled or dimpled rotors on our trucks due to the weight of these beasts. I think I am gonna do SS lines as well.

what are the EBC pads?? i work at autozone so all i know is duralast, cmax, and our performance carbon pads.

O'Reilly or Pep Boys I think sells the EBC Pads. Or I suppose ordering them online would work too. I think SummitRacing has good prices on them.

i think autozones performacne ceramics would do the trick. and considering a discount... ill take those instead haha. but yeah im thinking of ordering the slotted kit for the front and rear off of LFP. like 250$ for all four slotted rotors.

EBC rotors are somewhat prone to cracks, as myself, Uncle Rocks and BC have shown. I ran the green EBC pads and they worked alright for me.

dont go cheap... this is a heavy fast truck, get the good stuff.. trust us..

Get something that is proven to work or you will probably just be buying the other ones soon after. It'll save you in the long run. I take the advice of the seasoned veterans on here over any price shopping on the net.

well just considering i work there and those pads are 60$ lifetime warranty for the fronts alone, i know they are a good pad. CMAX pads.

but yes never cheap out. i believe in doing it right the first time. i just believe that the CMAX's can do it.

and i like the jlp slotteds. they look like a good buy
