Pretty interesting, I agree with most, and disagree with some, but I'm not an "expert"

another interesting article from same site
"No excuses if Obama can't fix 'his' recession"
"Unless he has worked out some effective way of spending the $2 trillion that Washington rumour says new bailouts will cost, a gaggle of finance ministers will head home disappointed."

FDR in retrospect may not have been as great as they have placed him and I dont think W will be on the bottom ten as they have placed him.. Carter should have been lower because he was totally worthless and has become even more worthless in the last few years.
Nixon may have improved over time as he was the one that finally got a dialogue going with the Chinese.

Why don't you think FDR is worthy of the top 3?

He really didnt do that much after review.. while he tried, in fact it is now known that he lengthened the depression by at least 7 years due to his actions.

Not much?!? What about the Social Security Act, National Labor Relations Act that granted unions legal protection, Glass-Stegaull Act to regulate government oversight of bank practices, Security and Exchanges comisssion, Tennessee Valley Authority,FDIC, are these not valuable to our current society when properly executed. He was also was instrumental in keeping the Allied Powers afloat before the US entered WWII during an age of isolationism with policies like the Lend Lease act. There is no arguing some of his policies contributed to the extension of the depression, but he must be judged as a whole. During his time in office he helped restore faith in the American system and saved capitalism.

ok, we will have to disagree on this one.. one might say that some of the actions listed by you are not those that are necessarily wonderful.. but that is what makes the list a piece of conversation, as all lists do.

He signed the 21st amendment which repealed the 18th thus allowing the manufacturing and sale of alcoholic beverages.
