I need to replace a blown bottom end in the L. I have been doing some searching but would like some info from people with experience. who makes the best built short or long blocks? best for the $ also? any info or suggestions would be very helpful, thanks.

I have recommended the MMR 900 short block for my friends truck, seems there prices are better than anyone out there and the guy that had my old L put one in it and its held up thus far.
Most will say JDM builds the best but his also has the highest price tag...

+1 on the MMR900. I ran it for over 9k miles with NO issues. New owner seems to like it :)
If you go that route, just be sure to get the ARP studs.

I forgot all about mmr, funny because I used to know someone who worked there. to bad that was over two years ago! thanks for the info guys. I will probably go with the mmr900 short or long block.
