well now that i fixed the overheating problem, it has started to missfire. sitting at an idle the whole truck shakes, and it deff doesnt have the same acceleration as before and the exhaust tone does not sound the same. the CEL is not coming on. so im assuming its a sparkplug or the fuel filter or something related. can i still drive it or would that not be a good idea? spring break is coming up and i want to be able to go home if i can drive it.

well the fuel filter didnt fix it. i have to admit it does run better even with the misfire than before. it needed to be done anyway.

Have you washed it lately?

My hood has been allowing water to flow into the spark plug sockets and causing a misfire.

To test the COPS...

You can pull them off one at a time while the engine is running. When you pull a COP and it DOESN'T change the idle... that is the problem COP.

i havent washed it in awhile:( it sits in a parking garage at school, so i dont get to drive it a lot. ill try and test the COPs tomorrow or the next day.
