Not for my lightning...but for the wifey's 99 GT. Darn thing dies after I release the key to on when cold. I probed quite a few components....no help. Revs feel like 7 cyl's along w a rich smell. Changed the 50k fuel filter with no help. No check eng lite..so I'm sorta in the woods...aka trial by error.

Which dealership has great service/ mechanics?

Thx,

I have had nothing but great things to say about North Central ford off 75 central and cambell in richardson. They worked on my L this month, finished the job AHEAD of schedule, didnt give me any crap about my warranty(recently de-modded L) and towed it, and gave me a free rental car(2003 explorer) all for free. Ask for Carl Tinner, in the service garrage. He is an awesome dude. Good Luck!

Glad to hear they have turned things around. Years ago, my 1995 F150 was broken into, and the paint was messed up as a result on the door. I took it there, and to repaint the door took 11 days(business days, not calendar days). I called and called, because originally they told me 2 days. We are talking about a space maybe 4" by 8". After I got it back, I noticed a rust spot developing on my chrome rear bumper. Then I happened to meet a guy who worked there when my truck came in. He remembered the truck, and what happened. The truck was a midnight blue(sparkly) with a two tone silver. Anyway, they fixed the door, but they managed to back the truck over a bumper lying in another parking spot, and it flipped up and scratched the driver's rear quarter panel. They spent the rest of the time trying to find more paint, apparently begging some off of Leadership Ford, to paint the larger area. And they just weren't going to tell me.

To say I was furious is an understatement. So, I am glad it worked out for you!

Dude, that sucks, man. I wouldnt take my turck to a dealership to be painted though. Grease monkeys dont paint cars, painters do. I had a '96 f150 4x4 before this and had an accident in it. The paint never looked the same afterwards. Good luck with the stang!
