I was looking @ a new Glock 20 10MM.Behind the clip in the grip, whats with the empty space there.Theres an empty screw hole, and a large empty cavity behind the clip.Do new guns come with nothing there, and is there a cover or something to put there.I dont like a large cavity like that exposed.I did fall in love with the gun and its simplicity/no safety buttons.Any help would be appreciated as i am not familiar with Glocks.

I've heard of and seen the same thing on the Glocks. My understanding is that it's there for ergonomic purposes.

Even the 1911-platforms have drop-in arched v. flat mainspring housings to suit the customers fitment wants.

The 10mm is a beast!

I bought it.Fits in my hand like a glove.Has the night sights.Love the no safety buttons.I bought the full size.I called the gun shop and they say that cavity is for fit. There must be a cover or something after market that covers that up.I dont want any pocket lint getting in there:rll:.Deff a great pistol and the simplicity awsome.Anyone know something else about this cavity post up.Thanks Rifle stock:eek::rll:

Yes, there is a rifle stock attachment BUT do NOT get one. You'll turn that pistol into a short barreled rifle and that requires some paperwork to be legal.

The hole in the back has many uses but it's main function is to put a lanyard on the gun.

what you want is called a "grip channel plug". But, most folks call it a butt plug.

I have a few hicap mags for a Glock 20, and some factory ammo that I would trade for AR15 stuff. I'll even throw in a used butt plug. :rll:

You go with the 20 or 20C? How manageable is felt recoil?

The 21 wasn't that bad, to me.

I looked @ the 20C and didnt like the short grip.I got the 20.I havent fired it yet.I also heard the space behind the clip is for batteries for lazor sites?I am verry pleased with it.You can dissasemble all moving parts and put back together in seconds.I think it is a great concealed cary gun,and good for bow hunting when i get frustrated:tongue:

Sounds like you're thinking of the G29, which is the 10mm subcompact.

The only difference in the G20 and G20C is the fact that the G20C's bbl/slide-snout are ported to soak-up the 10mm's recoil. The G20/G20C are both the full-size platforms.

I wouldn't recommend the C versions (ported) of the Glocks for self defense(Concealed Carry) weapons. The flash from them is pretty heavy at the top pf the gun and at night it would serve to make a follow up shot pretty difficult.

Its safe to say that any decent caliber will shoot a fireball at night especially by the second or 3rd round

It would suck to have it coming straight up

Yep...that would be the problem. I almost bought a G17 with the compensated barrel for cool appeal. I test fired one in medium light at an indoor gun range and after each shot it was like getting hit in the eyes with the flash from a camera...not for me....I couldn't deal with it.

I have fired magnum caliber ported pistols at night and it's only bad for anyone NOT shooting it. The amount of time that the muzzle flash exists is just a few milliseconds. To the shooter, it's barely even perceivable.

You mean to you it was barely perceivable. To me it was like a camera flashing in the eyes. Not to mention the issues of having flames coming out of the top or sides of a barrel in a confined space.

Beau, I love my Golck (model 32) You can't go wrong with one IMO. The only thing I would suggest is a slip on grip that gives a little more bulk/comfort around the grip. It fits my hand better, although you may not have that problem.

Ohh O.K..I thought the C was for compact.I would have preferd the ported one.I know in the 10MM they only make a compact and not a sub-compact.From what i here they kick pretty good and throw some serious fire out the end.Gary as far as the grips, they fit me great.I have big hands.I havent shot it yet.Amo was 29 bucks a box 180 grain,i dont know what a box of 9MM goes for,but cost of amo wasnt even a consideration with me,i like the balistics of the 10MM:icon_mrgreen:.I didnt get it for target shooting just protection and hunting side arm.Dana,i would highly reccommend a Glock 9MM subcompact for the wife.It took some selling with me to purchase a plastic gun,but i just love it.Bachman Pawn and Guns has great prices on them,Loop 12 and Webs chapple extension.Cash is cheeper.

So he shoots himself, then sweeps his friends with the muzzle. The bullet wound would've been the least of his injuries after I WHIPPED THE SHIT OUT HIM WITH THE GUN. :flaming:

Now that is funny. I didn't think about that part of it. He was deserving of what we used to refer to as being butt stroked.

I was wondering this myself, but the only way you can legally tote the G20 in OK. during bow-season is if the Gun/Archery seasons overlap.

Other than that, your G20 is good to go for deer/boar as it beats the bbl. length req. by .60".
