I'm in So Arlington. I hadn't decided when to leave yet, but I was wanting to get there close to 6 when they open the gates. Maybe a group from North & a group from South; we all meet up somewhere predetermined along the way. Just an idea.

Personally, I think it would really be cool to have a mixed caravan (Lightnings and Chevy's). Can't speak for everyone else but I think it would be a good start to a friendly meet.

Sounds good to me. Maybe those who will be going down 45 south from Dallas area can meet in Hutchins or somewhere off of 45 south of 20. Dowdy Ferry is the first exit south of 20 and there are plently of places to meet up, Jack in the Box, DQ, Sonic, ect. I'll be there about 6pm.

The DQ is in Hutchins at IH45 and Dowdy Ferry. It is the first exit south of IH20 and the DQ is on the right side of the road. Planning on meeting there at 6pm.

To be honest, I'm debating that. I would REALLY like to catch the entire group heading down 45, but..... Friday traffic will suck! Ad I'm wondering how well we'll be able to keep the group together heading down 20 in the traffic. I'm considering 287... I don't even have to go as far as 35. I can catch 287 about 15 mins south of my house & ride it the entire way. I've got a few people that I'm supposed to be convoying with from Ft Worth, Arlington & Grand Prairie though, so I wanted to get their input as to whether they wanted to wade through the traffic to 45 to meet the large group, or make our own way down 287.

Yah, 287 is just south of me... Just need to take 360 south (pick it up south of Sublett to skip the traffic) for about 10-15 mins & it pretty much deadends into 287. Hang a left & ride it all the way.

What about a meeting place in Mansfield off 287 for the Arlington and Fort worth guys? Its 50 min to Ennis from 20/287

Can you be there by 5:45? It would make no sense for anyone coming from Fort Worth to go to the DQ on 45- you'll spend an hour in traffic or more to get there. 287 is a straight shot for Fort Worth, Arlington, Mansfield..... to Ennis and a hell of lot less traffic.

That's slightly wrong- your map pin pointed Bus287 and Heritage. It should be US287 and Heritage- just a little to the east. As soon as you exit there is about a 1/4 parking area for big rigs. I'll be right there off the highway so we can jump back on when everyone gets there.
