Plan on getting some new plugs for the truck tomorrow. The Autolite 764 have a pretty good amount of use on them so I want to get them changed before Friday. It is mostly stock, with a 125 shot. Should I get NGK TR5 plugs (stock heat range), or NGK TR6 which are one range colder?

When I had my '94 L and was running a 7-8psi Vortech supercharger, I would run one range colder than stock (Autolite 763 or Motorcraft AWSF-22). Gap 'em at .035-.038. If you have a good ignition (I had an MSD coil and 6AL ignition box), you will have no fouling issues. If your ignition is stock, I don't know... it will probably be fine.

The stock GT-40 iron heads tend to develop "hot spots" in the chambers pretty easily, so a colder plug when running a blower or nitrous is a wise choice.

Let us know how she likes em'. Copper Autolites have always been my favorite, but I've been thinking of giving those a try.

they were something only like $.30/ea more than the autolites I usually use are so I figured I would give them a try.

i run the NGK TR6 in my truck and i run a 100ish shot...

one thing i have noticed though is that they dont last a whole lot of time

i make sure i change mine before i have a race coming up or atleast every couple oil changes.... its just better safe then sorry IMO... i usually change them out way before they are do.... but for $10-$12 a set it never hurts...
