hey guys, just joined your board, and I'm looking to buy my first L, found an 03 SGM in Keller, here is the link http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.jsp?ct=u&car_id=261391957&dealer_id=57736428&car_year=2003&rdm=1241231741809&num_records=25&model=F150PICKUP&systime=&make2=&highlightFirstMakeModel=&start_year=2003&engine=&keywordsrep=108105103104116110105110103032&keywordsrep=&keywordsfyc=__bGlnaHRuaW5nIA,,__&keywordsfyc=&certified=&body_code=0&fuel=&only_price=1&awsp=false&search_type=both&distance=100&marketZipError=false&search_lang=en&showZipError=n&make=FORD&color=&keywords_display=lightning+&page_location=findacar%3A%3Aispsearchform&min_price=&drive=&default_sort=priceDESC&seller_type=b&max_mileage=&style_flag=1&sort_type=priceDESC&address=76021&advanced=y&only_photo=1&end_year=2005&transmission=&doors=&max_price=&cardist=8&standard=false

does anyone know if anyone from this board was the previous owner? it looks to be in really good shape, only thing i notices is the muffler has been removed. I'm getting rid of my Z06 and looking for a bone stock L to daily drive while I'm back in school, any tips for things i should look for? what should i be worried about with some of these trucks having 60+ k on them?

thanks for the advice

Mitchell.

They are just like any other vehicle some have been molested and others well maintained. A quick inspection of the owners surroundings and how things are kept should indicate which.

I wouldn't worry about the mileage I'm at 117K/10years and others have that and more.

I would shop around a little and compare on the forums like this one NLOC.net to see how the price compares. The good thing about buying off a forum is you can do a little search on the users name and get a good indication how it was treated or modded.

I've picked up a truck from other states and many others here have to from forum sales- don't be afraid to travel to find a good truck.

Also welcome to the board:tu:

I looked at the ad the price seems high to me based upon the economy and what the trucks are selling for right now- my .02
