My boost is bouncing all over the place. I raced a modded 95 vette last night in frisco and beat him the first 2 runs off the tollway exit. Then the 3rd run he beat me cause my belt was slipping nasty in 1st gear. Last I checked terry had one but he's a pretty busy cat. Where can I buy one if none of yall have a spare?

Oreilly's should have one, if not they can have it at the store by tomorrow. Give Terry a call though. He might can hook you up if he has one available. Are you coming to the meet on Thursday?? I will see Terry before then most likely, whether he makes it to the meet or not.

I went to O'ryllies in little elm and he said they didnt carry them. I guess I'll give Terry a call. will you PM me his number.. i think he changed it didnt he?
What size belt do you have on there now?
I have a stock Belt, a 69-inch and a 71-inch. For a 4# lower (7.5" diameter) and a stock Eaton upper a 67.5-inch is probably the smallest you can use. I used a 68-inch with that combo without any problems before I switched to a KB blower. Do you have oversized idlers (100-mm)?
Terry's # is 214-923-0045

Stock belt is 66". If you are running 4lb lower, Pump is correct, you need a 67.5" belt with stock upper and stock idlers. It will be pretty tight. You can do a 68" with no issues as well.
If your running a stock (66") belt and still slipping, you need to check the install. A larger belt will only slip more. A 66" belt is a really tight fit with a 4# lower. In fact the only way to get it on is to cut (or nock off) the adjust idler stop (Which Terry usually does). Check the spring in the adjust idler, it may not be putting enough tension on the belt.

I had 4 different belts when the crank was intalled, most of which ended up being no good. I cant remeber which one we finally put on there. The numbers worn off the belt on my truck so I dont know.
Check the tensioner (I called it the adjust idler earlier). If its rotated all the way or almost all the way to the no belt position (counter clockwise when you're facing the engine, then your belt is too big. As I posted earlier you need a 68" or 67.5" belt. Like I said, I have a stock belt that you can have, but it is nearly impossible to put it on with a 4# lower. I'll check the size on it and get back to you.
Stock is 66", and is a really tight fit (if at all). If the current one is slipping (and the tensioner is OK) it is probably a 68.5" or 69". A 68" will usually work, but I have heard/read reports that others have experienced slippage with a 68", in which case you should go with a 67.5" NAPA order one for you. Make sure it is an 8 ribbed belt - part number beginning 080.
a 67.5" belt would be 080675 (NAPA number 25-080675) Good luck.

4000rpms and up, in 3rd gear my boost jumps from 10#'s to 7#'s back and forth never fully reaching 13#'s before it shifts. Last night was the first time I had really experience slippage in first gear.
P'ed me off cause he thought he finally beat me. He did say he was surprised I out ran him the first two runs.

I've bought most of mine from Napa over the years
You could use a 67.5 or 68 belt

I am sure you will need to adjust the tensioner if it hasn't already been done.

Awesome, thanks a lot! I'll come to Frisco tomorrow and hang out at my friends shop till you have some time for me to swing by. I'll text you when im around.

How do i go about doing that?
I have heard something about breaking a tab as well??
Thanks Terry!
Stock belt tensioner has a metal tab on the hub that limits the clockwise rotation. In order to allow a smaller belt to be installed (smaller belt equals less slip) the limit tab is broken off to permitt more clockwise rotation (more rotation equals more slack in the belt) so the belt will slip over the upper pulley. If your truck has the stock tensioner you will not be able to install a 67.5" belt. A 68" will barley go on with the stock tensioner (this applies to a 4# lower and a stock upper).
To locate the tab, rotate the tensioner clockwise as far as it will go. You will feel a hard solid stop. Inspect the hub of the tensioner and you will be able to see the tab that is hitting the stop.
Note: The intercooler resevoir has to be shifted so that you can get to the tensioner for this operation.
If you want to grind off the tab, you will have to remove the belt tensioner assembly. You can break off the tab by holding a chisel (a screwdiver with a good solid handle will work) against the tab and stricking the free end of the chisel with a hammer. The break is not as smooth as grinding but you can not see it when the tensioner is installed.
