shorties aren't "worthless", they do give you more flow over the stock manifolds, but not as much as long tubes, plus the long tubes are easier to install.
I went with the JLP Comp R full exhaust, but it is a bit pricey
Cannon has an awesome 3" full exhaust system and is a bit cheaper than the Comp R
If your just getting the long tubes and going to piece together your own mids and mufflers then go with Kooks or Dynatech
But there is no better sounding exhaust than a 3" exhaust :bows

I talked over the phone with Shawn Cannon, he quoted 2200 shipped for his complete system.. Problem is i just bought a couple of weeks ago a bassani catback, i asked him about just using his headers and midpipes, but he did not know how the bassani would pair up with his system, fitting and all.. If i go dynatech where would u recommended me go, i called jlp they quoted 1292 delivered.. Do u know of a better, cheaper place also who could install??

I searched could not fine a part # are anyone selling them!!?? JDM is the only vendor that sell them for L's. Here is the link http://www.teamjdm.com/shop/product_info.php?products_id=89 You can have your Bassani mid pipe modified to fit at a good muffler shop bro. That's what I did :tu:

JDM is the only place I know of that sells the Kooks headers, maybe LFP???
I personally don't like pieced together exhaust systems, most that come as a complete kit are mandrel bent so the turns and curves are nice and smooth, most exhaust shops bends look like a bunch of wrinkles, then the welds usually aren't that great, eventually leak, dont get enough on the tops of the pipes, crooked
The Canon system wont work with the bassani catback, unless you get the 3" Bassani muffler from JLP, the Canon full exhaust has 3" collectors, and I'm pretty sure your Bassani is a 2.5" which is what the majority of exhaust systems are for the Lightnings
I went with the JLP Comp R exhaust because it is easy to install/uninstall, its a 3" full exhaust over the 2.5" everyone else runs, the muffler has a built in x-pipe in the muffler, and you don't have to weld anything, the clamps that JLP provide worked well, no leaks, the only thing I had welded on the pipes were dual O2 bungs and had the rear O2 bungs welded shut, I'm going to be running two widebands to monitor both banks, and all the information I read say you need the wideband sensor further up the exhaust rather than in the rear O2 sensor bung

Plus the JLP Comp R was the only 3" exhaust available at the time as a true bolt on kit
I have heard the Canon system is really nice
There are a few Flordia and Houston boys running 4" full exhaust systems

I put a set of Gibson shorties on my '03. IMO that was the biggest waste of mod $$$ ever. Performance gains were minimal. Didn't really see a difference at the track.

Dynatechs are a whore to install:throw: That's why I recommend Kooks. If you cant afford the JLP Comp setup you cant go wrong with the Kooks LTH's. :tu:
