Ordered the traction bars from Metco last Monday on my way home from Atlanta FFW. I was told there were some potential production problems that might delay shipment until Monday, but delivery by Wednesday (5/1) guaranteed. That would leave me Wednesday evening for installation with Thursday night as a backup just in case before leaving for Houston FFW on Friday. Guess what showed up today UPS?

The "Magic Carpet Service" by UPS is the new premium service. I've heard that a package can leave Atlanta @ 3PM and arrive at LAX at 2PM. :p That's just what I heard.
Installation scheduled for ?PM at Mark's on Wednesday.

Tuesday would be OK by me if you're free. Since Metco bought me a couple of extra days, I may as well take advantage.

Dennis, These are also Metco. I would like to know the variances in both items.

John,
The new lower-link set up will fit lowered trucks. I also understand that the old design was not all that well received. The ones in the picture are more traditional in design and I have talked to a couple of guys that say they really work well. I think the lower-link unit has been out less than a month.

Thanks to Mark #2 for the use of his garage and tools and Mark #4 for being the gopher. :p We got all four brackets on in about 4 hours. Probably 2 hours more than installation on a stock set up would run because of the Roush suspension and the non stock exhaust routing. I will have to make a trip to the muffler shop to get more clearance for the links, but all in all, not that difficult (if you have the tools). Pictures this evening.
