what size lower do you have on right now? if its a 6# you need injectors and pumps to support the air/fuel, and LT's headers would help also breath better.

six pound on there now im thinking about going with a 4 or 5lb lower

4# will be plenty, LT's will help, to really see any gains you will need injectors and pumps and JLP sheet metal intake

I understand that, i'm leaning toward five pound with the stock 3.5 upper would that work also what belt size is needed

4# lower and 3.5" upper should make around 14 psi. This is the combo I'd run on a stock bottom end. I believe the 6# lower is too much, even with the 3.5" upper. Keep in mind that the Eaton has to be spun much faster to reach a given boost level than the KB, thus creating more heat. Also, the KB will make considerably more power at said boost level due to its larger dispalcement and more efficient operation resulting in cooler charge temps.

IMHO, the factory injectors, pumps and inlet are sufficient for power levels that the stock block will hold up to. Long tubes IMO, are always a good idea, as they will help evacuate the exhaust gasses more efficiently, thus lowering cylinder pressure(which is a good thing; especially when trying to keep your factory bottom end alive). Injectors, pumps, and inlet are absolutely crucial to achieving power levels above that which the stock bottom end can handle.

A properly tuned bolt-on Lightning with a KB pushing 14psi should easily make 440-450 RWHP on pump gas. Even at that HP level, I'd be careful with the factory bottom end...IE: keeping her out of WOT at the 3rd gear to OD upshift, and/or running her at WOT in OD. Just my .02. Goodluck and have fun!:tu:

Did you get the red 2.3 kb on nloc?

I have the 2.3 Kenne Bell and 60 lb. injectors on my 02 Harley.

I have the 6# lower and a small upper I forget what size, but Terry warned me about high probability of blowing it up. I assume since I dont beat the truck sensless, and never drive it for top end speed it has held together.

I have had this set up going on 1 year and it runs like a champ.

If that set up can drag my boat to a 13.6 quarter at 100.5MPh with street tires, pump gas, and a horse crap driver, I would bet it would make your L hit low 12's or high 11's.

Good luck with the install!

I bought the stuff from someone here at Talon it had a stainless steel plenum on it but I have no idea who made it! Terry would know maybe shoot him an email. Sorry.

Yep big square might have been JLP, Terry posted a picture of it last year when he was doing my install, because it was so ugly:icon_eek:

Do you have a wideband?
If not get one.

I have a 6 lb lower and run a 3.5 on the street and a 3 on the track, same belt but the tensioner has the tab removed. NAPA belt 080675
I also have LTs, pumps and 60s, anything over about 15-16lbs of boost needs pumps and 60s

Yes it is a stock block, the key is A/F monitoring at all times and get out of it when it goes red. Although I'll admit I have run it in the red when racing GoRila.

So any ol autometet air fuel guage is good? No a wideband with a warning light limit setting at anything above ~11.5ish at WOT.

AEM is decent

Once people get them to work innovative seems to be great

I'm going to be running dual autometer widebands

air/fuel gauge (narrowband) is just a light show

wideband monitors your air fuel ratio, most are digital now so it is easy to read when your WOT
