After many years of BS of all kinds one or more or his posts got under my skin. Not sure why or how but they did. Initially I banned him for about 5 min, then decided that I would simply refund his $10 and that removed him from the supporting members group. His persistent BS moved me to the point where I was unwilling to accept his $$ and provide him additional privledges. I also put him on ignore here so I don't see his posts. After too many IMs I put him on ignore on IMs and email as well.

During that time I also shut down the supporting members system and removed the join link from the header while I reconsidered how much crap like that I was willing to put up with.

After a recommendation from a member here I also removed the Ronaldism smilie.

The summary is that " He just doesnt get it" and Ive grown tired of it, its no longer funny to me.

The result is almost no impact to him, yet Im not beholding to him and he is invisible to me.

So he isnt banned, he can still post here. I think that is fair given the circumstances, IMHO.

Basically, I ask Dana about his KT grip, you dive-in out of some sort of jealous estrogen-fit, I say something to the effect of "big-brain" and "Marcinko" out of making a silly-post and it's ban melt-down for the [.jpg]Ronaldism[./jpg].:tex

It's yet another talent I possess, I suppose.;):D

You just dont get it.. more recently, you post up some kind of a trash post and then its, "only kidding" along with the other stuff.. before its the stories of the cheerleader, prom queen, etc etc.. you still have access just not to those forums that require you to be a paid member. Be happy...

Ya know, it takes all kinds.

When I think about the voices of Talon it's guys like Rocks, Doug, Ronald, Terry, Tex, and BC Lightning. Not that these guys are all alike, but they each bring a different dynamic to the group. Frankly I was quite surprised to see that Dana is the #3 poster on here. No offense, but you aren't one of the guys I think of when I think of Talon. Ronald is the #5 poster. He's done his time contributing here.

I've seen "fights" one day between members and then they are talking and getting along the next. Most of the guys that "fight" on here probably wouldn't have a problem sitting down having a beer with each other. Ronald isn't the only one with "Trash Posts". He certainly wasn't the only one smarting off in the last thread that ended in his membership revoked. I personally see most of Ronald's "Trash Posts" as humorous and made in jest. Not really to be mean. It's how he interacts with people.

To quote a wise man on the internet:

...its the Internet ... Let it roll off ... sometimes its tough ... just let it roll off. The forum is has an ignore feature. If you don't like someone, just ignore them. It's that simple.

If I thought a poll would help, I would start one. I really think that there are very few people on this board that have any issues with Ronald.

I think Ronald's biggest crime is he pissed off Doug and that's why a poll won't help. If it had been anybody else, this thread wouldn't exist.

But hey, it's Doug's sandbox and he can do as he pleases. Rightfully so, he's the one that has put the time and money to make this site available.

But hey, Doug did remove the smiley due to a members recommendation, so if a poll will help, let's get it started. You can probably guess which way myself and Dana will vote.

I like to be low profile.. its a way of life... thanks, I take your comments as a compliment.. whether they were meant that way or not. Honestly, it wasn't trying to slam you or compliment you. I was just stating my honest observations. If you took it as a compliment, cool. I understand staying low profile, I do as well. Even on Talon, tho I don't have near the number of posts that you have.

My point was revoking Ronald's membership is like kicking out one of the Three Musketeers. Yeah, he's still around.. but the group isn't the same without him in it.

Thats what I thought I was doing and rather than act like an adult he reacts the way he has ( from the quoted posts that I actually see )

History has shown that Ive gotten twisted a time or 2 in the past and typically cooler heads prevail eventually.
