Well we went to Sixflags a couple of days ago, don't know if it was the economy, time of year, day, etc. but we walked onto every ride. No waiting, I mean no waiting, most rides left 1/2 full every time.

Oh, and if you haven't been to Sixflags in an decade or two like me the g-forces, speeds, and heights have changed very significantly. I thought this was an amusement park not a terror park.

Titan, Mr Freeze, and Batman are pretty severe, surprisingly I liked the Tony Hawk spinning roller coaster, it was actually amusing. The wooden roller coasters really beat you up.

Probably my last time for Sixflags, just glad I rode and survived all the big rides. These things were right at my limit especially with no waiting between them.

Its been a short while for me, but I no longer want to get beat up on a ride.. loved it as a kid.. really did.. I do like the ride on top of the Stratosphere that shoots you up and bounces you on a column of air.. but glad to hear you had a good time..

Interesting... I went there about 2 months ago. Got there at 8am and within a few hours everything was packed!

I believe that's called the Big-Shot, Dana. Scary as all-hell up there when it's going and that roller-coaster up there is running laps around the track. The whole upper-deck of the Stratosphere is shaking the whole time!:crying: The elevator to the top of it is a like a rocket, too.

I oughta' go back to Vegas, soon. I understand the down-turn of the economy has even hit Vegas hard, too.

I have been twice this year, and will be going back in another month. During the week the strip is pretty empty, you can get to where you want to go pretty quick, weekends it still gets packed, but the number of people that are traveling there now to last last year is less than half

I get e-mails almost once a week from the Bellagio for stay 2 nights get the third one free

We actually talked about this when we were there, how can they afford to open and run the park with no one here?

I was watching FOX News earlier today and even US/State Parks are raising admission fees and cutting back on their employees, as well.
