Playing in the snow.

While it was 100 degrees here in Texas I decided to take a little trip to the mountains. I stayed at lake San Cristobal on a scenic cliff campsite overlooking the lake and mountains.

It was snowing at a good rate when we crossed Cinnamon Pass.

The dog loved the snow and ran all over the place.

We traveled in jeep and ATV's. We visited Lake City, Silverton, Ophir and Telluride. The view from 13,000 ft was spectacular.

The Jeep was a Rubicon and was unstoppable. It had factory lockers front and rear with electric sway bar disconnect.

Coming home to 102 degree temps was not encouraging.
Oh yeah a black bear raided camp Sunday night, but he left the people alone. He just ate up all the dairy products including a tub of sour cream.

Used to camp for a month at a time outside Lake City in my HS days- good times and beautiful country.

Uncompahgre Peak is spectacular.
