Hey guys, noob here. I don't exactly have a L (at the moment) but plan on hopefully finding one in the future. For now I drive a 2001 F150 4.2, but got a big plan for it once I get a new ride. Shooting for the first TT 4.2 F150 I know of...but thats many years down the road.
Anyways I go to school in Arlington at UTA, and figured I might as well check out the scene, and see what everyone is up to.
Hope I don't get bashed too bad, and I'm not going to post pics unless someone really wants to see them. Don't want to clutter up the boards...lol

Welcome. Don't worry about getting bashed for not having a L. There are a lot of former L owners who are still on this board. I sold mine in '05.

Thanks Dana. Hopefully I can pick up a bit of knowledge here. I might be on every once and awhile, as school will be kicking back up in August.

Welcome to Talon!
I have to say that your paint job is sick nacklas! My buddy has a 2001 Silver L just like yours and wants to do your paint scheme, as you were his inspiration.

Welcome Derek,
What're you majoring in at UTA? If you're serious about scoring a L, watch your student loans (if you borrow - work them off as you go), study/interview hard to land the top-paying jobs in your field and pounce on one of these Ls.
As for not actually owning a L, don't worry. It's all good. I'm the original owner of my '02 L having had Ohio, Texas and now Oklahoma plates.
If you want one bad enough, you'll figure it out.

I'm majoring in Civil Engineering, hoping to get a Masters in Structural Engineering.
I'm hoping there are still some L's around by the time I get some decent cash flowing in. But that all depends on how the economy pans out and where I go after school.
Thanks for the welcome BTW. :)

Thanks bro!:tu: But it was a trail an error with the paint scheme.

There will always be some L's around. Good luck in school and your search for your Lightning.
Welcome from a UTA Alum, class of 68.
