After all, it is just a little computer linked all the time right?It is a computer, but the comm link does not access the OS or the cpu. Having said that, I don't know about the newer models that have sophisticated operating systems like Apple I-phone. I'm still using a five year old Samsung A620. Also, what about autos equipped with systems like On-Star? Seems like those would be easier to highjack. My biggest concern is the home TV that is linked to cable (or satalite with a phone connection for pay-per-view). These have software downloaded to them all of the time by the service provider. Who's watching them?:tex:tex

In the computer world the old saying is that if I can touch it I own it .. In other words no latter what security or password or whatever you put on anything if I can access it physically MOST times its defeatable ...

For example there is a welkl known CD that will reset any local windows password - IF i can boot your machine to that CD I own it ....

Many years back before phones were sophisticated I used to enjoy changing MY name in peoples address books on their phones.( change it to something like "what the ****") Next time I called I was guaranteed a laugh or 2 ( phone would say "what the **** calling" ) - its not malicious but its the same kind of hack as this movie, without their knowledge I changed something on the device that had an unexpected result,
