help emptying h/e

Has the valve on anybody's truck every got stuck on the H/E? What did you do to open it? I guess if I can't get it open I'll just take the hose off.
Also what do you fill the intercooler with? I've read that distilled water and some water wetter at 70/30 is good. Or is there some special fluid to put in there?

I crack it open with pliers. I forget if it opens right or left. I use water and wetter or purple ice in the summer and give it a touch of freeze protection in the winter with a cup of antifreeze.

How much force did you use to open because I'm afraid that I will crack it if I try to turn it any harder?
And what is the capacity of it all so I get the mixture right?

Stock heat exchanger is a 1 gallon system and some stays in the core under the blower. Usually a drain and fill still leaves a zero degree freeze protection.
Just good snug pressure. Try clockwise.
