i have a friend with a 03-04 L, and i have a 00. im wanting to upgrade my lower intake? will i need to swap out lower intake, midplate, etc. to make it fit on my L. Or will I need to swap out the whole setup from lower intake to blower

Not trying to be a smart A$$, but why? This is not necessarily an upgrade. There is no evidence that the 01-04 lower intake performs any better than the 99-00 lower.


Now if you were getting a smoking deal on a new blower (ported or aftermarket) that would only mount up to the 01-up lower then I can see making the change.

thats why im doing it.... there seems to be lots of blowers that only fit on 01-04 for sale often, and i want to a aftermarket blower...

The only real big deal, is you will have to move your air intake II sensor to the passenger side, from the drivers side.

The 00-99 is easier to port, no runners.

It took me a week to port my 02 lower.

thats why im doing it.... there seems to be lots of blowers that only fit on 01-04 for sale often, and i want to a aftermarket blower...

For porting I think $400 plus $299 for the intake.

is it me or is that just a really good deal for someone with a 99/00 thats planning of doing a swap or rebuild in the near future? i searched around for more info & didn't find much on swapping out the lower intake. is it worth it (extra$$ for porting) or are you primarily gaining the benefits from the bolt pattern in this case?

When I cracked my 04 lower intake I ordered one from a supporting vendor Ford dealership on SVTP for $499 2 years ago (10% over cost), this is a smoking deal for those wanting to "upgrade"
