Changed batt, now CD player doesn't work

07' Explorer Sport Track with the 6 disk, in dash changer. Had a dead battery, so I changed it & now the CD player doesn't work anymore. It has 6 Cd's in it, but it thinks that it is empty, so it won't play, or eject any of the CD's & of course, gives a, "Load error" mssg if you try to load it. (cause it's full) So what's the trick? I'm guessing that there is some simple reset?

I would Google it. The 6 disc is notorious for the belt that runs the mechanism breaking.

Here is what I do when I change a battery so I don't lose anything on the radio is take 2 jumper wires and connect them to the new battery and to the cables. This will keep everything in its place.
