There are several things to consider... As a general rule it is best to run premuim. The PCM is an adaptive learning unit and will detune itself for lower octance fuels. I believe the manual requires 91 or higher. It is my philosophy to not to be frugal about the fuel requirements of a high performance vehicle I chose. Texas gas is decent and you must you can probably can limp around on 87 just don't tell anyone:twitch:
Doug replied over me.. He is right it may be running higher cylinder temps, and causing harm you can't hear. If all else fails follow the directions in the owner's manual. I think it requires 91.

keep those plugs sparking good and in shape...along with better engine and injector life. run 93 octane. dont buy a 33,000 dollar performance vehicle and skimp out on whats necessary to take care of it.
