down side is its 45K
Even with a discount you're probably looking at $41K. For that price (or less) I would rather have a 1-year old C6 vette. Or better yet, keep my 12.5-sec L and $40k in the bank.

It's a car that seats 5 adults comfortably. I'm sure all of us can find something faster and more fun for cheaper. Call me impressed. 4300+lbs without driver, two simple mods, and it runs 12.7s on street tires with a TT V6.
The competition is the SRT8's and this car is faster with like mods and will get better gas mileage. Cost is about the same.
It's not a Vette, Lightning, etc... but for what it is, I think it accomplishes a lot from a performance standpoint.

I am impressed and pleased that Ford came out with another performance car. And the AWD thing is good
BUT for 45k you can get a 5 passenger 300+ HP Lexus that will have better resale and fewer trips to the dealer for repairs. It also will get 30+ on the highway and 24 in the city

$45 K opens the door for a whole lot of hardware Lexus, BMW etc. etc.
Watch out for the Hyundai genesis 2 door coupe. Rumored the motors bottom end will handle over 500 ponies and it is no accident. They fully embraced the tuning community and engineered accordingly.

two turbos are nice. I seriously considered an awd twin turbo Flex for a dog wagon.

Doug they may think they can get sticker, but at some point they will take Invoice for them. It is not going to be a collectible. I bet invoice is about 40K---39K

I looked at these pretty hard when buying the new family ride. For 15k less and better styling I got the G8 instead. After several months and 10k on the odometer I'm very happy with the purchase.
The six liter is strong but I don't believe I'm anywhere near 12.75- that is impressive for that big car.

the license plate says beef cake. that guy owns a dealership in cincinnati. he used to be on most of the L boards. he's got a vette now and i guess he's got this taurus too. that track is in bowling green, ky. which is very close to cinncy.

Definitely impressive for a TT V6 with only a tune. I just wish they were better looking cars and I might have considered sticking to ford for a daily driver.

There are G8 GXP's running these same times completely stock engine and stock tune with just some better tires, over on the G8 Forums. Granted the GXP is about the same price range, and the mpg sucks. :evil
I still have an itch to mod the piss out of mine, but have been resisting the temptation so far. I never thought owning a 4 door car could be this fun. :nana2
