Didn't you buy that with a new built motor? I know this all too well. Welcome to going fast...

That sucks man, hope you get it back up and running soon.....

The old saying still comes to mind.

Pick 2, cause you can't have all three:

Cheap
Fast
Reliable

Nope cylinder 3 had a crack as big as my finger nail this was the one burning up my plugs and i bought a new injector well it stopped burning them up. I think the damage was already done by then oh well what the benefit of an aluminum block vs iron other than weight?

That would cost more than a new block.
Aluminum is not worth the cost unless you are going over 700hp or professional drag racer.

700hp was the plan, I got a new bare block on the way hopefully i will have her done in Dec.

Ford Motorsport dealers are the cheapest source for bare 5.4 blocks. They are 500 compared to dealers that are around 1,200.

Sounds like a shortblock is more than you want. But if it is, I ran across this...

I dont need the short block I pulled the pistons today and they are all good crank rods are perfect I will just need new rings, and bearings put the whole rotating assy in the new block. And try to swap over the ARP studs hopefully they come out easy.

I am going to go pick up the block on monday and get it back here and assemble the other block.

You are supposed to machine the new block before you throw parts in it. They come too tight for performance builds, plus you may already have 20 or 30 over internals.

Yes the block will get machined before I put pistons back in they are stock stoke and bore.
