Has anyone here heard of what must be a very limited edition TA that has the letter "G" and perhaps "R" or "S" in the name placed on the side of the car? Reason why I ask is because normally I am about 1 to 1 with the 5.7L TA's but I found one on the freeway that absoutelety whipped me to death. I think it may have been turbo. It was really late and the road was empty. I saw him go by at close to 170mph, I decided to catch up to him(5 min task!) he must have slowed down. I went head up on him at about 80mph. I went and he didnt, I guess he noticed I was going and decidet to drop a few gears and was rapidly pulling on me. I heard through some of my ****** friends about 4 months ago about a guy with a TA pulling 700hp that races for big money down here in texas. I guess it could have been him.

Only thing with a "G" that comes to mind is a Gigliotti T/A. Not too familiar with them, but I think he does various stages of tuning. The only one I ever raced was at Hallsville the time I took my wife's LS1. I won :D , and IIRC the G T/A went low 14's at 110ish, so maybe you saw a more potent version.

yep Moonshine's got it right. They are an aftermarket tuner ala Saleen, Hennessey (except they let you keep your hood and wheels :) ) , Stillen etc.

They offer everything from basic bolt ons to huge dual staged nitrous to TT's ....some of them are pretty d@mn potent...others just like the stickers :tu:

LG motorsports (Lou Gigliotti) is actually based in sachse too, so you see a ton of those cars rolling around the garland, richardson, plano area...

I may stop by sometime. Look at the above auction. Does anything look odd about his NOS setup. maybe that the fogger nozzle is spraying against the flow of the intrake. Good job dude!

There is no new T/a or Firebird. GM killed it off, and the Camaro is gone until 2k5. GM said thee will never be a new 'Bird again...

Lou races in the Trans Am Series. The last time I went up there I got a few cigars. It is a good shop to do business with.

The new camaro is going to be on the Cadi CTS platform, which is similiar to the new stang going to the lincoln ls platform. It will be another LS1, however hp is going from 310 to 350, the vette is supposedly going to ~380, and LS6 (zo6) is going to ~450. 2k5 should be an awesome year.
