Merry Christmas to everyone. Be safe on the roads this evening and on the way to Grandma's in the am.

The Denton County crowd is getting a pretty good blast of the white stuff

Just spent 6 hours in the car driving to Stillwater, OK. Normally takes 3.5 hours. I have to say, the AWD on our X3 is awesome.

Have a good Christmas, everybody!

Merry Christmas !!

Al Gore - How does a Blizzard in Texas figure into global warming ? DO we all need to buy Carbon Credits from you to counteract it ? :hammer:

Heck, with this chilly weather.. do we get carbon credits since it offsets global warming?

Well I spent 16 hours driving to IL on the 24th, today <9 hours.

I was out in front of the big 2nd storm until I30 just south of Little Rock was shut down for 4 hours due to flooding from the first storm.

The truckers said this happens often as I walked around on the highway for 4 hours talking to them to understand what was going on...I don't sit very well, and I have never seen more people without teeth...not the truckers, the locals trapped on the road too, you can't exit, there are concrete walls on each side of the road.
Great idea build a big cement pond with little drainage.

The 2nd storm caught up and I barely drove the speed limit in very heavy rain the rest of the way, those who didn't hydroplaned and wound up in the ditch. I saw more rollovers and cars in the ditch than the past 3 ice storms on this trip.

A lot of driving ~1600 miles in the past 4 days, but better than alternative of spending Christmas away from family.

Hope you had a great Christmas. I did, with just another "experience on the road" on the way up.

between the weather and the recent airline issues - Im VERY happy I decided NOT to travel this year - those flights would have been NIGHTMARES
