so what all goes on at these meets? id feel out of place not knowing a single person there...
Glad to hear that you are safely home from Iraq. Thanks for your service.:bows
Like the name says, cars and coffee. People with cool rides bring their cars for informal show & tell. Bring your own coffee too. My impressions from November are:
a lot of corvettes, older muscle cars, exotics and collectables, a few Lightnings (At the November meet there where 5 or 6 Ls) and some other trucks.
Find the L's (or any other cars you like) and introduce yourself - you wont be a stranger for long.

Welcome home and thanks for doing what you do.
Met a really cool old cat today named Harold who has a Ford GT and talked him into joining us at the next C&C.
The turbo porch is coming together very nice.

If it's not raining....regardless of the cold, then I will def bring it out. I don't mind the cold so much vs having to drive the truck in rainy weather. :tu:

worth going for... (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XtkfTIy53mQ&feature=related&fmt=18)

Alright guys... I'm here.
Sorry... been waaayyy to freaking busy.
I'll touch base with Classic and let y'all know.
Pretty sure it'll be up and running... cold but so what.
Give me a head count and I can make sure we got a spot reserved... just like back in November... I thought that was a decent spot to have as long as we don't have a Suburban with the leaves all over the hood sittin there!
If anyone wants to volunteer let me know. Bout the only benefit you get is a tee shirt! But it is fun.

Count me in Rick....I sold the truck today.....so I'll be in the pontiac. I'm still parkin it with the lightnings though. :throw:
The spot we had was perfect.....we got to be close by our vehicles and watch the exits as people were leaving.

Hey guys... just got word that they are pushing the event to next weekend and not this weekend. Please pass the word if you know of anyone heading there.
I won't be in town the next weekend sbut will try to get the same spot reserved for us. Just need to make sure someone gets there early enough to claim it!

rickgig

Only thing you gotta do is park where we were back in November and claim the spot for us. I think we had room for about 8 vehicles and then we started to double park them when everyone started to show up.
I had to fight some of the guys working the event cause we didn't have enough show up early and they wanted to start parking other cars there.
This is why I volunteered to staff it so we'd have a decent spot and inside pull.
Pretty sure you were there then weren't you? If not, I can email you a photo of the lot and where we were at.
The guy that I talk to John Berry... I can let him know you'll be there early. To staff it we show up at 6:30 but I think we got to about 8'ish before people start staking their places, 8 to be safe.
Yes I was there in November & remember the spots. I can be there at 7:30 if neccessary. Will also volunteer to staff event if that helps.

How bout going to the Flying Pig Roadhouse for the 1969 Texas International Pop Festival tomorrow?!
It's to commemorate the anniversary and I guess it's a official Texas Historical thingie now.
I didn't move here until 72 but my wife went to NTS (UNT today) and hit the concert up!
I hope we don't run into any of her old boy friends!
Okay... forget that idea. I ain't going.
