Well it is time to sign up again. Since I have won the last 3 years, I left the name the same.

It looks like they are opening up the racing some this year ....
I have tried to participate the last few times but fall behind so fast that I give up ... Someone should call Dennis see if he is interested

Well with the switch back to the spoiler this year, I think it will be difficult to predict early on, so you will have have a chance of staying close early.;)
I will leave the league open till 2/14, but if less than 5 sign up I will delete it.

The bumping at the super speedways and the larger restrictors and getting rid of the wings are ALL good changes IMO
I watched a "road to daytona" thing that focused on Joe Gibbs racing and showed a LOT of the back end stuff
over 400 employees and millions in real estate and equipment. VERY impressive,

So far just you and me, but I'll leave the league open even if it is only us. Tyson was signed up but has dropped out now.

Okay, only one week left to join for the entire season.
If you miss a race you are unlikely to win the season.
It is usually less than one race's points for the championship.
I have time to do this. Don't know squat about picking drivers/cars, but I guess I will learn.

High level
Pick 2 drivers from A and C, and 4 from B by Thursday
Activate 1 driver from A and C, 2 from B on Sunday
A picks are easy, B tougher, C is impossible to predict
I read the rules. I guess we are doing this for the whole season, i.e. through last race in November? Lets see if I have it right. There are 36 races in the season. Any one driver can only be active for 9 races. Pick 2-A, 4-B, 2-C before qualifying and activate 1-A, 2-B & 1-C after qualifying & 15-min. before race starts.

Yup, half the battle is reading the rules.
Only 9 starts for any one driver, and you can activate within 5 minutes, unless they have changed the rules.
I guess I should read them for this year.:icon_mrgreen:
You are correct sir, 5-minutes before scheduled start (not actual start).

As random as this season was, you could have just checked a box that wasn't red.;)

Yup. I was out of it by the summer and finished 3rd out of four thanks to Doug turning into a slacker. Very frustrating year, but I'm good for next year. :icon_mrgreen:
I'm up for next year. Maybe my Oija board won't break down during the summer season.knana

Okay, I will set it up again for next year.
They are changing the cars again, so who knows, I think we get:
removal of the splitter(good for looks)
fuel injection(fake technology PR, think it will be what is in my 1988 K5/TBI)
alcohol fuels(fake green initiative PR for Sonoco sponsorship, they will get worse fuel mileage)
and a change for the chase(again PR, it won't matter JJ wins again unless having Jr in his shop is a big distraction, I think this maybe enough though to stop JJ).
Summary: new aerodynamic issues, engine reliability, and fuel mileage. Same things that made this year so random, with the wing change, the new ford motor, and Toyota so poor on mileage.
snip....... it won't matter JJ wins again unless having Jr in his shop is a big distraction, I think this maybe enough though to stop JJ........ If you throw in the Unobtanium jinx, that may stop JJ for sure:icon_mrgreen:
