View Full Version : SOLD ! 2002 SVT Focus

2002 SVT Focus - Timing chain, clutch, head w/valves, guides, etc. in 2008 (less tha 5K miles ago) James did all the work so it was put back together right. Parts for the motor were a challenge, but motor should be good for another 90K before timing chain replacement. Never wrecked although the passenger's side did meet with a yellow traffic pole at Taco Bueno. Bought it from my youngest son who is the original owner and asking $5,500. Cool little car and gets pretty decent gas mileage. A little over 100K miles.

Had Bill Utter Ford check all electronics and replaced everything that was not working properly to the tune of $2K just last fall. :o Also recently bought aftermarket headlights and fog lights, but don't have them on yet. Also just put $600+ set of Goodyears on it last month.

Dennis, is the stereo the stock system or have there been any other upgrades to it?

bump for a good little ride I think Steve White was looking for a ride to put one of the kids in. I would look him up he is a sucker for the SVT:D

Stereo is the stock audiophile system...pretty nice actually. Probably one of the most fun cars I have ever driven. The air intake is aftermarket, but no other performance stuff. :cool:

5 speed stick right? when was the clutch last done?

6-speed. Clutch was done in 2008 along with the top end and timing chain. :cool:

Damn a day late and 500 short. Just picked up a 02 Mercury Cougar with 58k for step daughter 1- step daughter 2 drives in 13 more months- they are killing me

Ah yes...the wonders of youth. I remember when my two boys were in high school and both driving. Of course each had to have his own car. Maybe one of our fearless governmental leaders can slip that into the Health Care legislation as an amendment and you can get the American people to pay for it. :evil

They are indeed- sounds like a 2 stroke MX with the factory header and aftermarket CAI
