Well, damn!! A South Carolina lawyer was among a small group of people when they were confronted by an armed man demanding their money/wallets. The lawyer reached in his back pocket for his wallet and came out with his .32 Kel-Tec and shot the gunman 3x.

Nicely done. Lawyer and group all survive? Bad guy? Once again, the best gun to have when you need a gun is whatever gun happens to be in your hand. :tu:

Scary story....especially the part that says, "ran into the night and collapsed to die on a railroad embankment 100 feet away".
I'm thinking if I am going to shoot someone in that situation, I want it to read something like, "crapped his pants before falling at the feet of the shooter stone cold dead".
Not that I am rejoicing over the death of the guy, but the fact that he was hit three times and still ran 100 yards is the scary part.

Handguns. Not just Kel-Tec, not just .32 ACP, but handguns.

Since I did not weigh-in on the original discussion, I decided to take my shot here. I'm still using my Rossi double-barrel 12 Stagecoach if I have any uninvited guests in my home.

Kind of hard to conceal during my 12-step meetings away from the house though...

Yep, that's what the Mossy is for. The Glock is the back-up here.

Now that will likely get the results you're expecting.

Guess my final on the thread is this....
1. There is nothing in my wallet that is worth a life...either mine or his.
2. If I am going to react, it will be with "overwhelming force" as General Norman Schwarzkopf used to say.
3. And it will be with something that I am not obligated to announce, "now you are going to feel a little stick".
4. And at this point in my life, I see no real value in me getting a concealed handgun license (although I covet the right to do so).
