Found this over on NLOC (http://www.nloc.net/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=37520)

It is a link to report issues to NHTSA- may or maynot work but worth the effort.

I think we have three from our club that I know of: Moonshine, Wesman, Microsuck

Just think of all the parts and failures I know about from my extensive and expensive testing and development. I have a very expensive education in Lightning modification:twitch: Do as a say, not as I do. I launched a plug at 9K miles Thanksgiving 01 heading to Mom's house. Then launched a few rods and other miscellanious engine pieces. On Christmas 02 24K miles headed to Mom's house. Got to quit going to mom's house. I expected it to lay down at On Track since I ran so much and so hard. Two days with two hours on the road course each day. I escaped only cracking my Brembo's:bows They glowed a little that day;)

As you can see on NLOC, I sent mine in.

Interesting trivia for you from another forum it was posted on:

" Well I work for Ford warranty and I can tell you it is a problem. Vehicles under base warranty with SP blowing out of head for the month of Dec. 02 437 Jan. 03 282 at one point last june we hit 900 cliams for the month.
After 36,000 miles the numbers drop but are still a problem. The lightning has been the vehicle I see most often but regular F-150's have had it happen too. Expedition as well. "
