I had no idea on all the engine selections forthcoming. but did know that the old 5.4L was on its way out.. interested to see how the twin turbo does.. I bet there will be a lot of interest in the V6 that is now in the Mustang due to mpg...

The twin turbo V6 will also be going into the Police Interceptor. I recall the days of turbo bearings coking and melting if they weren't allowed to spool down before shutoff, but Ford claims we don't need to worry about those issues with the turbos of today. It'll be interesting to see how they hold up.

I had a Turbo in my old Chrysler.. all I can say is run Mobil 1.. never had an issue..

I had a turbo in my old Honda...ran Mobil 1... didn't seem to prevent the rod from grenading though :rolleyes::icon_lol: damn boost is like crack:evil


So what's the word on this 6R80 transmission? Sounds scary as I just started googling it and it automagically populated "6R80 transmission problems" :icon_question:

turbo tech has come a long way! we are pretty much putting a turbo motor in all our cars now at bmw and the only reason I have replaced any is broken waste gate arms .
