Very nice Tony..:tu: Thanks John! I don't think that the slicks I bought from you a while back are up to par lol. How long can slicks set in a garage before they are no good for racing?

As long as the tread is still soft/sticky I would think they are still usable.

As long as the tread is still soft/sticky I would think they are still usable. Well, they are soft enough you can still press your finger tip into them and they feel sticky with no cracks. I will try them out at the track. Thanks John.

Tony, I just got rid of mine and got new ones.. had plenty of tread left but after being in the garage several years, they just wouldnt hook up anymore, at least not any better than drag radials.. apparently, when they are exposed to cold, it really does the damage.. I kept mine in my garage in Erie but it was heated... so how old are they? mine had to be at least 8 yrs old..

Dana These are prolly 4-5 years old. They look and feel ok, but I guess the only way to know is to run them :tex Is it ok to stay with 28x10's with the new found power?

could just have been luck at the time, but the first time I ran my truck on slicks I borrowed Wesman's 30in M&H and ran 7.5's, later on is when I bought the drag lights with 28in hoosiers and never got back into the mid sevens, always 7.60-7.7's. Thats was around 500hp and with the 3.55 gears...

its a guessing game, when John(Ohmsby) had his Red L it was around 600hp I think with 3.73's and we couldnt get better than a 1.7 60ft on the 30 M&H's. The rear suspension set up has a lot to do with it, but if I were you I would just use the ones you have now and see how they do, then decide if you want to go bigger or not.

Thanks for the advice bro. Luckily I have the adjustable shocks, I will just play around with what I have and see where I go from there
