Does anyone have part numbers for wheel bearings and seals for the front rotors on a 03? Aftermarket is what I am looking for like Timken, National or what ever is out there.

Put my Hawk pads and Rotopro rotors on today and found something that has been driving me nuts since I bought it. I hear a clunking noise from the front end when I brake and go up and down inclines. I did research and found out about the clunk washers so I bought them and was going to put them on until I pulled the right front brakes down and found that the last guy who did the brakes did not tighten the caliper bracket and the bolt was half way out. I guess he didn't clean the thread locker off and did not put the bolt all the way back in. They were tight coming out so I had some time before it did some damage. The left side was easy coming out as they did not put any thread locker on them. I recomend wire wheeling the bolts, tapping the holes and thread lock the shit out of them. Truck brakes great now and happy so far with the pads and rotors.

Interesting, but I always put anti-seize on the brake bolts.

Was it the caliper bolts or the caliper bracket bolts?
I usually get the Timkin wheel bearings at O'Reily. I always put a new set on every time I either replace or turn rotors- probably overkill (most clean and repack) but peace on mind knowing you have new ones.

The caliper bracket and they come with thread locker on them so I put it back on but I wouldn't use anti-seize on those bolts.

I use thread locker on those too and torque to 80' ft lbs. Not sure what the spec is on them but have heard them coming off on a number of trucks before.

Agree on thread locker on those and I think the spec is 136 ft-lbs.
