Any crossbow hunters. They been legalizing them in many states, this year Oklahoma.I bought a Barnett Preditor to try out for bow season.Realy nice crossbow/fast/accurate.The only thing i didnt like was they use only 2 screws to hold the trigger mechanism down, which is also the scope mount.Alows room for one bump and your resighting in the bow.Other than that a nice crossbow.HFkaWO6GJmw

I had four of them, they were a blast but back then nobody wanted you to hunt with them so I switched to compound bow....

I think they can be used for rifle season, unless you have some kind of handicap....then they can be used for bow season.

Texas recently legalized them for use to anyone during archery only season. All you need is a hunting license.

I had one many years ago - an old school barnett 150 lb pull - not one of the new fancy compounds

I was VERY impressed with the accuracy and the power BUT the power also made it VERY difficult to target shoot - I couldnt or wouldn't afford a archery target and NOTHING else I tried to use would stop the bolts ...

the best target I found was telephone poles and a big bag of rags

The telephone pole were costly since you couldn't pull the field points out .. But field points were cheaper than the aluminum bolts

Not a hunter but back then they were basically not allowed for hunting

Crossbow performed great.Killed a nice buck @ 40 yards.Got some wall hangers comin in @ night. When i hit the buck sounded like a mattress gettin whacked with a stick.Bolt went clean threw and sunk into ground upto fletchins.Bolt never dropped @ 40 yards with a 25 yard sight -in.

Why not to put your thumb on the rail of a crossbow. Not my thumb, let my friend use it and he forgot where his hand was.He also had a glove on.Lucky to have a thumb :icon_eek:

Good job, Beau! Post up pics of your buck. I need to get back and work on my stand, shooting-lanes and sight in the AR-10T/Leupold ERT setup soon. What're you running for ML and rifle in OK?

FYI, PSE offers a cross-bow upper for an AR lower: http://www.pse-archery.com/prod.php?k=55444&u=1135
