As much as I want one, just can't spend that much on a plate.

Whats really annoying is the 7 character plate I have, a T plate, was only maybe $100? $120? a year ago when I registered it.

These guys are no better than drug dealers.

****ing Rick Perry....

I would rather have this than state income tax.. if this is what it takes to keep the state afloat, then so be it.

But I don't think alot of that money goes to the state. MyPlates.com is separate from TxDMV. They were simply contracted and licensed by TxDMV. I read that they had hell getting alot of their designs approved by TX.

I believe that all this means is that the DMV no longer directly makes the plates or has their hands in it at all. You order your specialty plates from this one website and they handle the approval/disapproval and register the plates for your vehicle with your information.

But I really do wonder how much the state gets for their cut.
