well, let's fix that. hey, the Mavs murdered the lakers! now let's rest up while the others hopefully beat themselves up.

on a side note...had a great sports weekend myself. friday i called for my Boston Bruins to sweep the flyers, for the Mavs to sweep the lakers, and for Manchester United to beat chelsea. ALL came through!

GO MAVS!!

I think everyone is in a state of shock and speechless...I know I am.

The question I have is are the Mavs that good are did the Lakers just implode? I'm thinking it's a lot of the latter.

Agree, unguarded wide open professionals can shoot a basketball, big surprise, but it was cool. The Lakers did not show up.
And would they please stop showing the Rondo elbow, I have to close my eyes every time. Once was too much for me.

game three, which the lakers led most of the way, left the lakers broken. they didn't show for game four. all the other series need to go seven so the mavs can rest up and get even sharper.

Mavs played great ball. What everyone has been hoping for the last several years came true in this series. When you double/triple Dirk, the other players have to get/be open for him to pass to and they have to hit their shots and that has not happened for several years now. In the past Dirk had a hard time getting the ball out when he was doubled. Not this series..... and the Lakers never adjusted and it looked like they never thought the shooters were going to hit. Evidenced by the fact they never covered the outside shooters and if they did the Mavs drove inside. They will need this type of play to continue to make a serious run at a championship.

chandler is the reason for this year's success. he's changed the defensive mindset of the team. he's the second most important player behind doik.

I agree, but who would have thought the Mavs would sweep the Lakers?

its just a weird year in some regards.. also, anyone think the Heat will win the series against Chicago?

The Heat/Bulls series can go either way. But after seeing game 1, I see Chicago in 6. Lebron and Dwayne had off-nights, which is unusual. They will come back and make it a series.

Looks like the Mavs series is going to be pretty decent as well. But I see Mavs taking it in 6. They have what it takes to win. Finally.

Mavs advance with another late forth quarter lock-down. d gets tough after taking jjb out. dirk and marion take over. you could see okc tightening up for the choke job. sure hope chicago can extend their series with miami...dallas could use the rest.

GO MAVS!

the Bs lost so a game seven in Boston is needed...dammit! GO B's!!

That was an impressive and exciting run in the 4th. I was a little concerned when JET missed his assignment and Miami got the three to tie it.

The big German comes through again-he is so clutch.

Suck my DIRK Miami!

all my teams won championships this year. Packers, Man Utd, Mavs, Corvette Racing won the 24 hrs of Lemans, and the Bruins won the Stanley Cup. how cool is that?! the universe had to be set just so for such an occurance.
