Fellers,

Just a general question...need to get a set of headers for the Cobra. What is the best way to go and why: Chrome, Ceramic or Stainless? I want to be sure they don't rust out like the ones that are on it and want to keep the finish looking good. Which way to go?

Thanks for the opinions.

Tom

Ceramic over stainless steel if you can handle the extra cost of the coating process. It would double the insulation vs ss or ceramic alone or almost 5 times the insulation of chrome.

I had the best luck long term with kooks stainless. fuel injection and power adders run hot and lean and I have seen most jet hot coatings flake off over time. Kooks stopped selling coated Lightning headers since it never lasted. A NA motor may have better luck. coating holds a lot more heat in the metal and that causes fatigue in the header as well.
