A week? I'm thinking months, if not years to really nail the entry speeds, apexs, and exits on 150+ corners.

Wow! :bows It's about 99.5% about the driver.
In April I had the opportunity to attend the Oklahoma Highway Patrol Law Enforcement Driver Training Instructor Course (OHP LEDT), the premier law enforcement driver training in the country. It was a week of extremely intensive instructor training, and we drove from 8AM to after midnight every day. We had qualification pursuit courses each day and night, and if you hit a single cone you failed the qual. I went into the class thinking I knew how to drive. Ha! They raised my skill level tenfold, but at the end of the week some of our instructors were still that much farther ahead of us. We did things with a Crown Victoria Police Interceptor that the Ford engineers say can't be done. It's simply amazing what a true professional driver can do with even a ho-hum automobile.

i'm not talking about nailing anything. i'm talking about just knowing what's coming next.

The ring is recreated in dozens of console Games -
I've raced it hundreds of times on the Xbox... Its crazy how hard it is to remember and how tough some of the corners are

Formula One circa 1961. This a picture from "the Ring" in 1961. I went when I was in grade school and my dad was stationed in Germany. This is a Ferrari driven by Wolfgang Von Trips who was killed later that year at Monza. Interesting history of this German driver who had links to the Schumacher family.
