Was going right down the street to the local store & the girl driving the junker Buick decided to blow the stop sign. Nobody was hurt but woke up this morning hurting a little so took the day off to deal with her insurance company. She just took insurance out 8 days ago, thank goodness but it may be one of those fly by night companys. I don't even like taking the truck out of the garage if I have something else to drive but the kid is back home driving his truck & the Jeep was at the trans shop to check a problem out so decided to take my baby out for a spin. I know shit happens & I just had a new windshield put in after work. I do have a witness who was right next to me & wonder why he didn't get involved too but was lucky I guess. Her car a total loss & figure about $4-6 grand to fix mine. 38783879

That sucks! Make sure to fight for diminished value since it is a rare truck with some collector value.

Her car a total loss 3879
I think a door ding would have made the old thing a total write off. I can't imagine that car being worth more than $1500.
Sorry to hear about your truck!

I do hope everything goes good with her insurance. I did do the loss of value back when I had a wreck in my son's new truck but was like pulling teeth with the insurance company. Wonder what i should ask for on the Lightning? Since they will be replacing the hood, I may want to put a after market custom hood on & was wondering if anyone had a place in mind where to find one.

That sucks Jeff-where did it happen? I hope you get everything repaired correctly. The OEM bumper covers are hard to come by from what I understand.

Arkansas & Perkins. She blew the stop sign coming from the lake going across into a dead end street. Her insurance company wants to total the truck due to parts cost so will fight with them to do some aftermarket parts to lower the cost so they won't total it. I have a new Gonzo hood liner for sale that I never put on so if someone is interested let me know. Still looking for some stock grills also.
