I am at a real loss when it comes to things electrical. I recall there is a relationship between watts, amps and volts, but dont remember what it is.. I have a 12 volt refrigerator. I am considering trying to find a solar panel to run it.. however, if I know the volts and the amps, how do I calculate how big a solar panel would be needed to run it?

I know volts will shock you and amps will kill you. I think watts is an energy measurement kind of deal.

There is a pyramid P / over I times V. P is watts.

You will still need a battery to stabilize the voltage and provide starting current. You will likely still need a running vehicle or 120v charging source to maintain the battery. Solar is pretty low wattage and it only works half of the day at best. They get pretty pricey over 15 watts
