race should start in about an hour.. I hope Danica can hold the lead for a number of laps.. just to help backup the pole run at a minimum.. of course, would still like to see her win the race.. would be a real sea change for NASCAR

Nice top 10 finish for her. Overall, a good day and a nice rookie run. Good for her.

And Dale, Jr and Mark Martin both in the top 3, nice runs for them, too.

She was in third right until the last half of the last lap

And stayed out of trouble - didnt cause any

Agreed.. something to build on. she just didnt have anywhere to go ... she also didnt get any help from anyone else either.. and that may be the real point to be made, how much help will she get over time from the men.

Patrick did well. Stayed in the front out of trouble and didn't panic at the start of the race. Helps to have a really fast car in a restrictor race (read Hendrick equipment). I still think she is in way over her head, but I was impressed with her ride yesterday. :cool:

Welcome to reality. Interesting what happens when you have to use the brake and turn the stearing wheel. Qualified at #40 with a really fast car. :cool:
